What the marketplace compares
The listing
Since 13 December 2024 the offer must show the manufacturer, the EU responsible person if the manufacturer is outside the EU, product identification and safety information (GPSR, Article 19).
The declaration
An EU Declaration of Conformity for exactly the listed model, signed by the manufacturer, with the right legislation and standards.
The product
Label and packaging photos with CE marking, model or batch number and the names and addresses on them, matching the listing and the declaration.
Why documents get rejected, and how to fix it
A lab "CE certificate" or test report uploaded instead of a declaration
Upload the manufacturer's EU Declaration of Conformity; keep reports as supporting evidence.
The declaration names a different model, range or company
Issue it for exactly the listed model, in the name of the manufacturer (you, if you sell under your own brand).
Wrong or repealed legislation, e.g. LVD and EMC for a Bluetooth product, or the old Battery Directive
Cite the legislation that actually applies, such as RED for radio products and Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 for batteries.
No EU economic operator or responsible person
Name an importer, authorised representative or responsible person established in the EU, on the product and in the listing.

Is a "CE certificate" from a lab enough for Amazon?

No. It is not a Declaration of Conformity. Only the manufacturer (or its authorised representative where allowed) can declare conformity; the lab document is supporting evidence.
I sell under my own brand. Whose declaration do I upload?

Yours. Selling under your own brand makes you the manufacturer in the legal sense, so the declaration must be in your name, backed by technical documentation you can provide.
How fast can you check it?
